We meet from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of every of every month.
We meet in northwest Columbus at the Atonement Lutheran Church at 1621 Francisco Road.
Our support group meetings are very casual. We generally meet as one group for a while, and then split up into three groups; one group is those of us with the disease, one group is those who do not have the disease and the third group are those "at risk". This is because each group usually has some issues they want to talk about which are unique to their group. The meeting is lead by our social worker.
Then we just talk about whatever we want to. People bring up concerns, share experiences, and ask questions. Several times a year we have special speakers bring us the latest on HD research, and other informative speakers on issues of significance to us all. We also have two main fund-raisers each year, a fall Celebration of Hope Dinner and a spring Hoop-A-Thon. These are fun ways to participate and help bring in more money for research to help us find a cure.
